Alguna vez hubo un blog que se llamaba "más allá de un blog", el nombre le quedaba grande y su autor lo abandono porque quería fama instantánea, una de sus últimas entradas fue éste vídeo.

Tal vez si aquel chico hubiera sido la mente creativa detrás de él, no se habría ido tan decepcionado.

Ya hemos hablado de que hay maneras fáciles de conseguir la fama súbita en la blogosfera mexicana, pero es eso o conservar el respeto a uno mismo, la otra opción es volver en el tiempo y empezar al día siguiente de google compre blogger

Was I wrong about Kung Fu Panda?
I was guessing from the trailers that the movie sucked, but it does not.
It is pretty amusing and that is what they were aiming for.

El 37% de los entradas de blogs escritas en el mundo está en japonés, superando (por apenas un 1%) al inglés.

Es previsible que esta tendencia se modifique y la mayor parte de los blogs se escriban en chino en cuanto mejoren un poco algunas condiciones en aquella nación.

Pero es un dato revelador, la población de japón es de unos 130 millones, menos de la mitad la de los Estados Unidos y una pequeñisima parte cuando se le compara con todos los angloparlantes y uno que otro que también escribe en inglés (¿será ese un dato que oscurece la situación aún más?) aunque no sea su lengua materna.

Parte creo que se debe como se comenta en ésta entrada en Tecnoculto a que muchos japoneses aprovechan el tiempo de su traslado diario y escriben desde el keitai 携帯電話, la verdad es que los navegadores de los celulares modernos de este lado del Pacifico siguen siendo muy malos pero la llegada de joyas como el N95 o el sobre valuado iPhone permiten vislumbrar un futuro bastante prometedor.

Un paso muy necesario para esta realidad es el que tengamos un método de entrante que no sea la mar de frustrante, los teclados completos están ahí, pero debe haber una alternativa.

Y la de arriba es la bella Yui Aragaki, hasta ella blogea, pero probablemente no sea una elección.

¿Qué onda con los adornos excesivos de las chicas japonesas para sus celulares?
Es todo un mercado, hasta en los combinis venden unas pilas que le puedes conectar si tu batería se descarga, es como alimentar el celular con una mamila, la cultura del celular en Asia es otro asunto, menos presunción, menos basura y más funcionalidad, eso si, la decoración barroca abunda.

Six years already?!

I’ve been speaking with one of my cousins who decided to “follow’ a career in informatics, he actually does have a lot of issues of any kind, family, school, girls and even health related, besides the fact that he does like a lot the Final Fantasy series which is obviously a bad thing and a bad sign.

Well he chose this path around 2001 that was also the year I bought my first computer and started using them because up to that point my experience with computers was pretty short lived, I remember that in those old days I didn’t even like the Internet I used to see it as a necessary evil but it all changed in 2001, the same year I started playing some games an became intrigued with all that lingo about fill rate, AGP, PCI, Quake, DDR, HDD and started reading a magazine from Barcelona which to this day holds a special place in my heart which was my eye opener to this world of Hardware, Overclocking, braggin’ rights , pwnin’, “boom headshot “and everything else that came along, I made my firsts “intervention” the following year when I added my 40GB HDD as a slave to my system, later I installed my first dedicated Videocard a TNT2M64 and the started dual booting with that strange new system that was Windows XP, the Next year I built my first PC from zero (it is really easier than it sounds) and from then I’ve been building several machines and making hardware upgrades pretty often, all this time I’ve been helping my cousin with this Hardware stuff because as you now most informatics are clueless about the hardware their code is running in or the networks they are supposed to admin , while I have absolutely no idea in software my cousin does so I hope that that cumulative knowledge will help him when he decides to work (he is kind of lazy) if that day ever comes.

He is right now struggling with Windows Vista so I can be of no assistance to him because I don’t like that OS version and would love to stick with XP if Vienna (now Windows 7) arrives fast enough.

But these long conversations reminded me that not so long ago I was not a computer junkie and that I was kind of an analphabet wich luckily has changed, it’s been six years already? Wow, I came to this world about the same time the first iPod appeared and at around the same period in which Microsoft released Windows XP which was not really well received at the beginning because it was a resource hog and all it cared was looking nice and blah, blah, blah, almost the same thing being said about Vista right now, the difference, the main difference is that perhaps with Vista, all the Vista Bashers have a point.

This December my mothers laptop will start running Ubuntu and that is mainly because the sting of malware requires a constant level of housekeeping and updating and testing which is to much to ask for a regular user that only wants a computer to work.

東京駅 Tōkyō eki Tokyo Station Estación Tokio

I´ve been studying Japanese a little time but at least I´m able to tell what that sign reads (東京駅 ) Tokyo Eki, which means Tokyo station.

Certainly it does not look extremely Japanese but in the inside it does not look like its exterior,it is located pretty close to Ginza and the imperial gardens.

These trees do look Japanese.


This is what you see when you leave by the Marunoichi gate.

Impresive like almost all of the City, the old Edo certainly takes the breath a while, even for a dweller of Mexico City
