Review Batman Lego (1 de 3)

Con Star Wars Lego I y II, dicho estudio se hizo de una licencia para imprimir dinero, sus trabajos anteriores los respaldan y cualquier cosa con un Lego al final está para vender millones de copias, ya éste año lanzaron un juego de Indiana Jones de la mano de Lucasarts. Y ahora con un juego financiado y distribuido por Warner, nos llega la aventura más apta para todo público del encapotado de ciudad gótica.
Éste review se va a extender por tres sitios.
Primero, el apartado técnico, como viene con el sello de "Games for Windows" ya sabemos que soporta aspect ratios wide y el uso del pad de 360, del archivo Readme del juego:

La computadora en que lo ejecute cuenta con:

CPU: Intel Core2Duo 6660 (2.4 Ggz)
GPU: EVGA Geforce 8800GTS 320 (forceware 174.74)

Una observación, si quieres jugar, aunque el teclado funciona, la mejor opción es un pad (analogico) de al menos 6 botones o mejor aún, el de Xbox 360, al ser Games for Windows garantiza su funcionamiento sin configuración adicional.

Arkham Asylum PC Review
Can't Believe its over. It all started with a magazine cover and we believed it was based on the graphic novel

And now this one that became the defacto standard to measure comic-game adaptations, as always the story is important, Paul Dini penned a great and compelling plot for this game.
I'm a Batman fanboy, yes, but the game is really good it runs on the third iteration of the unreal Engine (with many similarities to the one used for Bioshock) and if your computer is up to the task it will use nvidia gpus (no love for AMD) to implement some effects accelerating Physx by hardware.
Even if you don't have such a powerful PC the game is pretty easy on the eyes, the game designers tried to make you feel like "The Batman" and you are the world's greatest detective, this is the first time I see 8 years old Bruce Wayne roaming through the alley where it all began.
If you have a dual analog stick on order to play, that will be the best option, it supports the Xbox-360 pad and has the same layout of the console version, so you can star playing whitout worrying about setup.
You won't be fighting lots of villains, mainly you'll have a chance to settle the score with Bane, Harley Queen, Poison Ivy, Croc, the Scarecrow will nag you several times and a ridiculous version of Joker using Venom, And E. Nygma will be teasing you trough the game but you won't be seeing him, Clayface has a cameo appearance, there is a mention of Ra's al Ghul, you will hear about Harvey Dent, Scarface is in the game as well, and although this version of batman stands on it's own it has some roots on the comic universe, has no relation at all with 2008's blockbuster and the talent from the animated series like Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy are once again behind the microphone to voice old "Bats" and Joker, since Harley Queen is a Dini creation she had to be here.
Gameplay has few possibilities, the lion's share of the game you'll be roaming semi-freely trying to get a clue or to find someone that will help you advance in the game, but you can use the gadgets you will be gradually amassing to uncover secrets and trophies that will unlock some not vital content like trophies (The 3D model) of the game's characters and info about them, you can glide since the first moment, you will also spend a long time fighting henchmen that can only cause trouble when they attack you in large groups, you will be crawling trough ventilation ducts with the help of Oracle, and you will have some "Boss fights that are the game's weakest link but the best gameplay experience comes when you become a silent predator and proceed to hunt every henchmen from the shadows, something that increases their tension levels as seen in the movies and comics.
When you are fighting using the Freeflow system Batman is like a juggernaut that is able to deal with large groups using a three button combat system as some of the gadgets he's gained over the course ot this long night trapped in the facility, the grapple and the batarang are the ones used more frequently.
The lamest part of gameplay happens when facing the scarecrow, too much of an arcade, but a fun title aimed towards adults.
The PC version uses Games for Windows Live to earn achievements and compete indirectly for a rank in a world rank of palyers, a lame idea poorly implemented, annoying customers to be forced to stay online in order to play.
On launch day the Steam version had tons of problems, solved by a simple windows re-start.
This game is the best adaptation of a comic book character to appear on PC of all times.
The replay value is low, but it will go beyond the 10-20 hours needed to finish the main quest if you want to collect all of the Riddler's trophies

Great story, great graphics, exotic technologies involved, based on comics, runs great @1080p in hardware from 2006-2007.
It is a great game, but wait for the offer or discount before buying it, and do buy it, it is a great piece of software

Batman LEGO!!!

Después de STAR WARS LEGO II: THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY que debuta hasta la semana que viene (el jueves 21 para ser más exactos) el siguiente juego que lanzara la licencia de LEGO sera nada más y nada menos que :
BATMAN LEGO
Con tantas y tantas historias de Batman es dificil pensar en que pudieran regarla.
Pero no cantemos victoria antes de tiempo, disfrutemos de SWL:II y esperemos por la reinterpretación del caballero oscuro (con una personalidad tan seria seguro verlo en el mundo de los cubos sera un placer para fans maduros y no nerds o geeks sangrones)

Batman Lego
Pues por fin confirmaron lo que aquí ya sabíamos desde hace un tiempo, Traveller's Tales el genial equipo detras de los excelentes juegos de Lego: Star Wars ya esta trabajando en la adaptación del universo del caballero nocturno al mundo de los bloques de plástico brillante, al igual que los juegos anteriores aparecerá en la mayor cantidad de plataformas posibles (y la PC, como debe ser, estará entre ellas) , muy probablemente coincida con la llegada a las salas cinematográficas de la secuela de Batman Begins en 2008, así que a esperar

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - demasiadas capas
Cuando yo tenía 14 el mundo no era así, había que hacer un pequeñísimo esfuerzo para tener contenido de supe héroes ( en aquel entonces mis comics de Vid y la primera aventura de Marvel directo, levantarse a ver doblada la serie de x-men y soñar que algún día James Cameron haría su Spider-man) y hoy hay desde series que lo tocan tangencialmente, películas que son buenas casi siempre, muchas series animadas, tantas que ni intento verlas, y juegos, juegos , que esos si son más mi estilo, además de Arkham Origins, esta semana también llega Lego Marvel Super Heroes del que hemos hablado poco,y que a lo mejor probamos si de verdad es divertido, como lo fue el primer star wars lego , o el primer Batman Lego

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - Trailer
Además del Super Skrull, también llega Galactus (que podría estar acabando con el universo Ultimate)
Al menos el trailer se ve bien, el último juego de Lego que probé, LEGO® Batman™ 2: DC Super Heroes no es tan divertido como el original, y de hecho hasta la película basada en el mismo tengo (y tampoco es muy buena)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes - Official E3 Trailer
¿Ya es mucho?
Yo amé las versiones de Star Wars, siempre se me han hecho juegos perfectos para jugarlos con los pequeños de la casa, en especial aquel, que era una mejor adaptación que casi todo lo que hacía la difunta Lucasarts, y Lego Batman también fue un triunfo, pero la secuela no me está gustando (y eso, o a lo mejor por haber visto la película) y con los MOBA (Infinite crisis) , los MMORPG (Marvel Heroes , DC Universe Online) y los juegos de tarjetas, a lo mejor, ya estamos un poco saturados, que eso nunca lo hubiera dicho cuando más joven, pero ahora me cuesta trabajo darle seguimiento a tanta cosa.
En los juegos no hay problemas de derechos, y aquí están todos los que quieran.
