Estos tíos de "Giveaway of the Day" tienden a enfocarse mucho en software muy de nicho o de utilidad muy limitada, como son conversores de videos flv o de formatos para y de iPod, pero a veces lanzan algunos programas en verdad muy bueno, es el caso del juego que regalaron el domingo, Ingenious que se llama.


Me recuerda mucho a juegos de fichas que jugaba con mi madre, mi hermana y mis tías cuando muy niño, de hecho el domingo mi hermana y mi madre tenían sus laptops en la casa y también lo instale ahí. (y al parecer no es vano, pues existe una versión de juego de mesa)

¿Qué les puedo decir, tiene opción para jugarse en Lan y tuve que barrer el piso con mi hermana, je je ?


Si fuera más barato no dudaría en comprarlo, es un muy buen juego, aunque los 20 dolares que dicen que piden por el se me hacen un poco excesivos.

Pueden bajarse una versión demo dando click en la imagen de la caja, no se arrepentiran.

Lo que si me ha llamado la atención es que el camino a una victoria es el no dejar hacer a los rivales/contrincantes, es el típico juego fácil de aprender difícil de dominar.

Ya hay fecha para la expansion

January 9, 2006 - Valve confirmed today that Half-Life 2: Aftermath, the official expansion to 2004's lauded and loved FPS sequel, will arrive April 24, 2006.

Simultaneously with Half-Life 2: Aftermath, Valve will release Half-Life 2: Platinum, a super-metallic bundle featuring Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Aftermath, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Counter-Strike: Source, and Day of Defeat: Source.

Both titles will be available for purchase and download via Valve's Steam service, or as a standard boxed product -- distribution of which is being handled by Electronic Arts.

Aftermath takes place immediately following the events in Half-Life 2. You and Alyx must flee City 17, fighting creatures who were previous blocked from entering the city. The Citadel you assaulted is tumbling into chaos, and this event will have catastrophic effects on the surrounding area, prompting your escape. Both Alyx and Dog will each play a much more significant role.

NVTempLogger is a free utility which can record your Nvidia graphics card's temperature in the background as you play games, benchmark etc. and save the results to a log file. This allows you to view your temperature fluctuations and see the maximum temperatures it reaches when under full load during a game for example.

Firefox 1.5 RC3 Released

Firefox Release Candidate 3 (RC3) has been released. Read more about it here. So far everything has been cool for me with the various pre-release versions of Firefox 1.5, and I recommend this update if you already run Firefox 1.5 - use the built-in updater to get it (Help Menu>'Check for Updates'). The final release version of Firefox 1.5 should be out any day now, so keep an eye open for it as it will be well worth the upgrade for all Firefox users given the improvements under the hood.

Windows Genuine Advantage on Firefox

I just read at Neowin.net that Microsoft have released a plugin-in for Firefox which allows it to run the Windows Genuine Advantage check. What does this mean? It means that you can now use Firefox to download certain MS downloads which require the WGA check, but it doesn't mean you can run Windows Update on Firefox as yet.
