La primera semana después del receso de fin de año.
Todos los días estamos leyendo que si Nissan, que si Sony, que si DELL están cortando empleos, no es lo mejor, y menos cuando el todavía no en funciones Obama ya encuentra problemas para sus planes de estímulo.

Por la noche vi a un amigo de muchos años y me di mi viaje por "Memory Lane" allá por Ciudad Satélite un poco antes. 懐かしい
Ya que andaba por allá, otra vez pasa a "La casa del libro" y compré un par de libros de Murakami (es lo último que compro de él en un rato), tengo una personalidad muy adictiva, cuando las cosas me gustan, me vuelco sobre ellas, que bueno que nunca probé "la verdecita", imaginármelo me da escalofríos .- Kafka en la orilla

Ésto ya fue hoy por la mañana, en nuestro bien amado Conamat.
Y por la tarde, viendo el partido de Titans Vs Baltimore (que trancazos se acomodaron y Baltimore gano a pesar de no producir mucho, pero Tennesee movio la bola y no anoto)
No he podido jugar mucho Prince of Persia, en especial porque no puedo salvar en donde yo quiera y no puedo dedicarle más de unos 30 minutos diarios.

Wallpapers con Tux
Pues siguiendo con el recuento de Wallpapers y siendo que todo comenzó con instalarle Ubuntu en la lap de la Flaca, es justo que dediquemos una entrada a los wallpapers que tienen a TUX.
The Dark Knight puede hacer historia, además de una recaudación de miedo, se llevo los People's Choice Awards y el fin de semana en los Golden Globe Awards y en Febrero en los Academy Awards podría ver validadas las opiniones populares.

Palm launched its new "Pre" smartphone.
Unlike Apple's phone (that everyone and their mothers knew was going to be named iphone)Palm had to come with a name.
Not to mention a new OS, agrrements, hardware and a marketing plot.
Today in CES they announced this smartphone that is posed to battle with Apple's flagship.
I don't like their naming scheme, PRE sounds lame and WebOS sound awful in spanish.

They are showing Internet Explorer 8 with accelerators and some Silverlight uses in the "What's new feed", Charlotte used "Quick Add", Windws live is connecting all this .

Tripod appeared on the stage before Robbie Bach singing for the Xbox.

The Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Program
Windows Vista it on its way out.
It took Microsoft forever to deliver this not so well rounded attempt and sadly it became vaporware and the bad rap it got from non savvy users didn't help it's
street cred as made patent by the Mojave experiment that showed that in 2008 Microsoft wasted a lot of money in the Seinfeld ads when they didn't know how to obliterate Windows XP which is still the OS of choice for many users and even more so with the ascent of netbooks which are widely misunderstood even by the owners, people are so afraid of using the native OS solutions tailored to the software that they are cramming XP and even Vista in these machines.
Well after the fiasco that the windows Vista Capable stickers brought to Microsoft that turned out to be a plot to help Intel move its low end chips, we are seeing a different upgrade program, this time for upgrading to Windows 7.
It is advisable to test the new OS in your Hardware before upgrading and then test the software you must absolutely keep running in order to decide whether to upgrade.
I believe that from a hardware standpoint this transition will be more seamless that the one form XP to Vista, because the code has not changed dramatically and after two years only stupid and miserable hardware vendors wont be able or willing to provide you with an updated driver.
If your printer does not work with Vista it isn't Microsoft's fault, it is your peripheral manufacturer who sees no profit in releasing that little piece of software and wants you to buy a new one.
What I would be worried about is software compatibility, specially if you are moving from XP to Windows se7en or even from 2K to seven.
Starting on July 1st OEM CAN (if they so choose) offer you a free upgrade to windows 7 (whenever it is released) if you comply with some conditions.
