Total disclosure : I for one, like all the possibilities of online education like not having to attend a far away building everyday (then we avoid polluting a little that day), but I do understand that such isolation would also serve better for college students and not for high school, kids the teens are better served learning to deal with people, one thing that in my country is severely lacking.

アムリタ es una novela de よしもと ばなな (el seudónimo de la autora 吉本 真秀子 Mahoko Yoshimoto) que trata sobre Sakumi, una joven tokiota incapaz de soportar la vida de oficina, hermana de una chica muy bella convertida en actriz, que consumió su vida con rapidez hasta que en un estado de intoxicación extrema falleció, ella vive en una estructura extraña con su mamá, su prima universitaria, una amiga de su madre y su medio hermano.

La muerte de su hermana arranca la secuencia de eventos que durante unos pocos años nos relata en primera persona Sakumi, su muerte a medias, conocer gente "rara" o más bien poseedora de dones, su relación con la antigua pareja de su hermana y con su hermano clarividente y sensible en extremo.

El ritmo es más bien lento, con muchas ocasiones en que Yoshimoto San a proposito nos relata con lujo de detalle el entorno en que se encuentra Sakumi para transmitirnos su estado emocional y que es conducente a que comprendamos las reflexiones que le siguen.

El libro me gusto porque después de la parte media, cada que Sakumi viajaba o conocía a alguien, de algún modo podía relacionarlo con mi vida, ya sea con lo que he hecho o con las cosas que no tenido valor de lanzarme a hacer.....no se si el libro sea bueno, nunca he dicho que yo pueda juzgar eso, sólo estoy diciendo que me ha gustado y que aún, alguien como yo, que jamás hará critica puede darse cuenta que aún a través de la traducción, se nota la habilidad como "armadora" de relatos y "maestra" del ritmo de Yoshimoto San.

¿se lo recomendaría a alguien? yo creo que a cualquier persona de más de 18 que ya ha tenido que lidiar con perdidas, decisiones, separaciones y que ya no creer tener siempre la razón.

Shaq’s personality on and off the court truly embodies the spirit of the Harlem Globetrotters, as his standout playing career is matched only by the fun he had with his teammates, fans, and the media.
