El ejemplo más fresco que tenemos es al inicio de la "The dark knight" de 2008, donde ciudadanos comunes deciden "ayudar" a Batman, y el Joker también tenía a sus seguidores.

Pero fuera de esa capa, es difícil que la mecánica se mantenga fresca, como lo ha hecho Team Fortress 2 ( que de hecho ahora que es free to play me ha hecho volver, por un lado tanto tiempo que lo deje de jugar me tiene a mi como noob, pero con tanta gente que llego por lo gratuito, es fácil hacerse de muchos hijos :P) así que ya veremos.

Aunque el video juego aún esta en su infancia, cierto es que su evolución de finales de los 70 a la fecha ha sido impresionante, ahora hay experimentos y juegos alternativos, grandes franquicias que aspiran al realismo, juegos para apagar el cerebro, hay de todo, pero el estereotipo de lo que es un juego sería este vídeo.

Así se le llama al "estudio" que decía que los usuarios de IE tenían bajos coeficientes intelectuales y que un montón de sitios reportaron como noticia y con gozo.

Hoy en la BBC demostraron que la empresa detrás de el en realidad tienen muchas cosas que revisar antes de salir a darle herramientas a los hate mongers de la guerra de browsers actual.

A story which suggested that users of Internet Explorer have a lower IQ than people who chose other browsers appears to have been an elaborate hoax.

A mi me quedan claras muchas cosas, la gente que en redes sociales se lanzo a festejar los resultados, sea cual sea el browser de su preferencia tiene severos problemas de auto estima (no tengo datos para apoyar esa afirmación :D) y nunca en su vida han tenido que lidiar con apoyar cierto software en una empresa, en mi caso de 2006 a 2010 batallé en NSK para que usáramos firefox, de hecho resolví ( o les pude dar la vuelta) problemas usando el navegador de Mozilla, y yo tenía un permiso tácito de usarlo, pero en la empresa era IE (ya saben, eso de validar y certificar el software) o nada, mis compañeros reticentes y todo, no eran gente a quien le interesará tanto el software, y eso no lo hacía menos inteligentes que la banda de fans de chrome por ser de google.

Tarandeep Singh Gill es el nombre del responsable, que hizo su luchita por llevar gente lejos de IE (eso s evale) pero muchos medios y sus "especialistas" cayeron por él hoax.

Ok, now that the hoax is totally uncovered, let me go back and try to sum up everything that happened over the last week.

But first, I would like to stress a few points:

1. There was no intention to insult anyone. I regret the use of word “dumb” in my press release, but it was kind of important to get media attention.
2. This was not a cheap publicity stunt, but an honest effort to create awareness about the incompatibilities of IE versions 6.0 to 8.0. I have had made futile efforts in this regard earlier too (see www.beastoftheweb.com)
3. I would be happy if even a 100 people stopped using IE 6.0 after this whole episode

America’s real crisis is not a debt crisis. It’s an unemployment crisis. Yet this agreement not only doesn’t address unemployment, it’s guaranteed to make it worse.

Inflicting more pain on their countrymen doesn’t much bother the Tea Party Republicans, as they’ve repeatedly proved.

Do they really expect us to buy that? We’ve all heard what happened in 1937 when Franklin Roosevelt, believing the Depression was over, tried to rein in federal spending. Cutting spending spiraled the country right back into the Great Depression, where it stayed until the arrival of the stimulus package known as World War II.

For now, the Tea Party Republicans can put aside their suicide vests. But rest assured: They’ll have them on again soon enough. After all, they’ve gotten so much encouragement.

The President Surrenders

For the deal itself, given the available information, is a disaster, and not just for President Obama and his party. It will damage an already depressed economy; it will probably make America’s long-run deficit problem worse, not better; and most important, by demonstrating that raw extortion works and carries no political cost, it will take America a long way down the road to banana-republic status.

Start with the economics. We currently have a deeply depressed economy. We will almost certainly continue to have a depressed economy all through next year. And we will probably have a depressed economy through 2013 as well, if not beyond.

The worst thing you can do in these circumstances is slash government spending, since that will depress the economy even further. Pay no attention to those who invoke the confidence fairy, claiming that tough action on the budget will reassure businesses and consumers, leading them to spend more. It doesn’t work that way, a fact confirmed by many studies of the historical record.
Republicans will supposedly have an incentive to make concessions the next time around, because defense spending will be among the areas cut. But the G.O.P. has just demonstrated its willingness to risk financial collapse unless it gets everything its most extreme members want. Why expect it to be more reasonable in the next round?
Did the president have any alternative this time around? Yes.

First of all, he could and should have demanded an increase in the debt ceiling back in December. When asked why he didn’t, he replied that he was sure that Republicans would act responsibly. Great call.

Make no mistake about it, what we’re witnessing here is a catastrophe on multiple levels.

It is, of course, a political catastrophe for Democrats, who just a few weeks ago seemed to have Republicans on the run over their plan to dismantle Medicare; now Mr. Obama has thrown all that away. And the damage isn’t over: there will be more choke points where Republicans can threaten to create a crisis unless the president surrenders, and they can now act with the confident expectation that he will.

Hiatus

Yo creo que este blog se va a tomar unas largas vacaciones, llevaba un año en un ritmo más bien placido de vida, digo eso porque hasta Julio del año pasado, entre el trabajo, el japonés, las clases que daba sábado y domingo, pues llegaba a juntar periodos de 30 0 40 días sin descansar, lo que no me molesta, uno se acostumbra a ese ritmo de vida, que si, es fatal para las relaciones con otros humanos, pero no da ni tiempo de pensar en ello.

Ahora comenzaré de nueva cuenta a andar corriendo de un lado a otro, a no tener ni tiempo de ver el twitter (eso no es tan malo, cada día hay más asnos por allá)y si posteo por acá seguramente serán recursos de educación, eso es una coincidencia afortunada, después de ver el nivel tan bajo de algunas de las ponencias de la campus party 2011 em México #cpmx3 me entro en la cabeza de dar alguna sobre ese tema en la quinta edición, pero la verdad, me falta prepararme mucho y creo que caí en un lugar adecuado para ello, aún si tengo que batallar para continuar la parte de la maestría que aún no termino (nada más la experimentación)
